Orange Aide

The Tip

It's a beautiful Spring day around these parts. The mister is doing typical mister things, like washing the cars and I think I'm going to do typical me things and head off on an adventure, see what I can find to point my camera at.

I used to really look forward to the weekends and doing things out and about as a family at least on one day of the weekend. I looked forward to the day so much so that I turned down a job once that would have paid me to use my camera. At some point, the mister strayed from the norm and became Mr. Responsible. He spends the weekend washing cars and doing those local things, never venturing out on an exploration. And when he does, the mood and temper are often short. I decided not to even bother asking him anymore. For my own sanity, I have to make my own plans. I had begun to really hate (and yes, hate is a really strong word and I'm using it) weekends. Not anymore, I'm over it. I'm going to plug in the GPS and drive west and south, chasing the sun today.

Good plan! Sometimes a woman's just gotta do what a woman's gotta do. Get in the car and follow the sun. . .

i can relate - at times. weekends certainly aren't what they used to be for me either. life sometimes has a mind of it's own...
do you ever regret not taking the camera job?

I can also relate to this...so much. I am glad that you are taking your camera and are off, following the sun, with some good music. Hope you get some great shots on your adventure and come home feeling re-energized!
