Happy Father's Day

Still working on setting up the new computer and until I do, most of my photos are still hiding away on the camera card. I really love this rose (Strike It Rich) and wish I had a better photo.

Rose

I edited this one totally on the Mac using PS Elements. It may be a little over sharpened. Must learn a new workflow or spring the sharpening plug-in I've always used.

It's a stormy morning. Woke up to the weather radio warning of thunderstorms. A few minutes later, a tornado warning and a few minutes later, our tornado sirens. The sky is darkening again but so far, it's not been photogenic in my area. And the weather radio is sounding an alarm. Later folks.

It's a beautiful, autumn morning around these parts. Lots of clouds for the sunrise to turn into beautiful shades of pink and orange. No photos.... just the beautiful sensation.

Nature's Paintbrush

When I saw this, all I could think of was paintbrush. Perhaps this is how the beautiful hues of autumn are painted? Soon, my world will be full of deep golden and red hues. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year.

A bit of summer on this autumn like day.

It's Friday!!

This has been one of those weeks that feels like more than seven days. Lingering doubts and concerns cloud my thoughts. This morning a beautiful, misty fog was drifting across the street from the Fen and area where the new strip shopping center is being developed. One of those special mornings, with the sun filtering through the fog and remaining trees.

It's time to walk the Wonderdog on this beautiful morning. Here's hoping the fog lifts from my mind. Have a beautiful day and weekend.

Sunshine

Happy Sunshiney Saturday!! At least around these parts. Waking up on a Saturday morning, without an alarm, to the warm sunshine and smell of freshly brewed coffee is a perfect way to start the day!

Dad's Daisy

A daisy taken through the viewfinder of an old Brownie Starflex. I'll be back with you all soon but only for a few days then it's back on the road again.

Lily

I spent the day on the mundane. Those tasks that must be accomplished but when completed, the sense of accomplishment makes the mundane fulfilling. Or maybe it's just the spiffy new reading glasses I got.

A Tree To Fill The Senses

I woke up to take The Wonderdog out for her morning exercise. The air was heavy with the threat of a storm. My thoughts turned to my basswood tree. The scent from a basswood is heavenly sweet. Summer's gentle breezes carry the aroma up to my open window filling the house with warm, sweet air. I only had a few moments to take a couple of photos on this morning before the lightning chased me indoors. I was hoping these bountiful blossoms could withstand the winds of the storm. As the storm passed through, rain fell, thunder boomed and the winds howled but my little tree full of blossoms withstood nature. It was a windy day so my photos are scarce. I used my Lensbaby lens to bring you a dreamy tree to fill your senses. I will share more blossoms from this tree, taken with my Lensbaby. I just love this tree and these blossoms. A phenomenal amount of blossoms this year, the tree is weighed down by their bounty. :)
