Toby

P1050516-copy

The entire time we spent in Norman, we looked for Toby Keith trying to decide which huge house could be his and would we bump into him at Starbucks. It was kind of fun. I snapped this photo of a man removing the debris from a tree damaged in the ice storm. When I reviewed the image, from a distance, it could be. ;) We were so on a mission, we even dined at his restaurant twice. Once for dinner on Saturday and lunch on Monday before going to the airport.

It was a cold, windy day. In fact, the only warmish day was the day we arrived (Friday). If you go to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill (Bricktown-Oklahoma City), go with an appetite and if you don't go early, be prepared to wait. The wait will be worth it, though.

Sorry you didn't see Toby. I had no idea he owned a restaurant there or even lived there. That is exactly how I am when I am in NYC. I won't tell you who I am looking for.

Glad you had a good time.
XOXO

It was fun looking for him. He's actually opened several "Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill".

In NYC, there would be too many celebrities to look for.... I've never seen Oprah in Chicago. The husband will see celebrities at the airport. He saw Luca (ER) once. Me... nobody. Ever.

you are too funny. it's like when i was in Key West several years ago and kept eating at [at that time the only] Margaritaville searching for Jimmy Buffet. ;-) Half the fun is the adventure. but then that's true of everything, isn't it? :)

Our last major ice storm, here in
TN, was a doozy, too. I never knew Toby lived in OK, I guess I assumed he lived in Nashville, but then again, I just LOVE his music and don't really know any thing else about him! But man, you got to eat at his place!
