Quite a Pear

IMG_2873-copytex2

Sitting here waiting for the snow to start falling (we're under yet another winter storm warning) and thinking about life and the lessons learned. Wondering why so many of the lessons I learn have to hit me so hard that I land on my behind?

Speaking of which, I loved the movie JUNO and wish that it had won a few academy awards last night. I adore the song Anyone Else But You as sung by the Moldy Peaches and the movie version sung by Ellen Page and Michael Cera.

You're a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you're back is the latest trend
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

A line from the movie "In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."~Mac MacCuff (Juno's dad). Kind of brings that song into a bit of perspective and how love makes the person shine.

And "I never realize how much I like being home unless I've been somewhere really different for a while." ~Juno~

Home Sweet Home, eh?

This post made me smile, the biggest smile I had all day. I loved that movie so much and was hoping that that she would win best actress and the movie would win. By far, those are THE best lines, and I loved that you reminded me of them. So perfect, so right. The song is great too. I actually could not get it out of my head, so I bought the sound track. I can't wait for the DVD to come out. I just want to own that one. So many lessons.....
