Peace

IMG_2270-copy

We have achieved some peace in front of the fireplace although sometimes SallyCat still takes Cassie's bed.

Mild rant coming up. As it was just me and the daughter, we stopped at our local Chili's for an early dinner. The restaurant was not busy and we thought we'd be seated rather quickly. Nope. The hostess manager was on the CELL phone talking in loud but hushed voice and it went on and on and on. A man came in and hugged her (no make that practically groped her) and she still went on and on and on. There was one group of two waiting ahead of us and I decided that I just didn't want those loaded mashed potatoes that bad. If the woman hadn't said in her hushed voice, "people are lining up" and if she had just turned and acknowledged us but that didn't happen and I left while M gave her the Evil Eye. We had cheesy fries and deep dish pizza instead.

Service just ain't what it used to be. You all may recall my encounter at Red Robin whereby we actually got up from our table, leaving the menus behind for lack of service. Tonight was just as inexcusable and I'm not going to give places my business that don't earn or deserve it.

I love that picture so much. It reminds me of my Sadie and Lilly. Sadie is my dog, totally sweetness, all 85 lbs. Lilly is 1 year old cat, who can be sweet and cuddly on HER terms. My favorite times are when I catch the two of them cuddling, and sleeping next to each other. Just love, love, love it. Your picute is so special.

I HATE bad service too. I have been known for my evil eye or for leaving restaurants too. My brother who was a restaurant GM for years, get so mad at me,tells me sob stories about how difficult it is, I DON'T CARE! If I am paying good money to eat out, I want good service. Talking on a cell phone, without even acknowledging you, is unacceptable. Call the corporate office and complain. I would, or write a letter. I always feel better when I get my frustrations out, usually in writing, to higher level management.

Take care and thanks for sharing the photos!

Such a sweet picture!!!

I agree. Bad service seems to be the norm now. When the service is very good, we make it a point to point it out to a manager.

No, it's not (service). I have been sort of holding onto a rant that I started writing about our local Wal-Greens. I think I'm waiting for the day when I'm officially finished with my job.

I am a patient person but a total lack of service or consideration, I will not tolerate. All I would have required was an acknowledgment.

It's always sweet when the two are cozy. :)

I love that picture too...you always have the best pictures, you know that? did you study or are you a "natural"?

service...ya it sucks. I would have complained to someone, but then you take the chance that someone spits in your food!!

We've done that too...gotten up and left because of lack of service. Life is just too short.

Cheesy fries and pizza? So worth it...

Didn't complain as I think she was the manager and she kept her back to us and personal problems are just that, personal.

Beth, thanks. I'm self taught and operate with the philosophy, take enough photos and one is bound to okay.
