University of Oklahoma

The University of Oklahoma is stately, the grounds are immaculately groomed creating a beautiful atmosphere of learning (excluding GGWild). For those interested in the weather and meteorology, it ranks at number 2 (unofficially) and with the newest facility housing not only the school of meteorology but The National Weather Service and NOAA, that just might change. The number one school is Penn State and on our short list to visit. The total enrollment at Penn State, 40,000 students while OU has a manageable size of 19,000. The campus just felt comfortable. Maybe it was misleading, being a Sunday/Monday just after spring break. The kids might have been hungover from their South Padre debauchery.

Oklahoma City's airport, Will Rogers National, was easy to navigate and has direct regional service to O'Hare. That is a big plus as the drive from here is somewhere along the lines of 12 hours and the flight time, around two hours.

That sky was just a gray sky that brought a little rain. The storms came later, after we were gone.

It is a beautiful campus, I'm just not ready for college. One more year of high school, though.
