Nature's Paintbrush

When I saw this, all I could think of was paintbrush. Perhaps this is how the beautiful hues of autumn are painted? Soon, my world will be full of deep golden and red hues. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year.

oh yes! I would love to paint with it...thinks...

I'll be looking out for such a tool now.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about Autumn. I LOVE the colours of Autumn...no other season comes close. Winter is my next choice, when the snow comes, and all becomes white, with a few muted colours, and greys.

Beautiful thoughts Bonnie.

Despite (or maybe in spite of) the cold that comes with winter, I love the quality of light. The winter sky is full of such soft hues (when not threatening a blizzard). At first, winter looks so bleak but the deeper one looks, the more one can see.

Remind me of this in February when my back is aching from the shoveling of snow.

I thought of you with this image, blue. I knew you'd want to paint with nature's brush. :) Thanks for your comments and visit.

I'll remind ya allright! : )

Had a feeling I had a connection with this one. Thanks.

How's the Enso coming along? you could paint an incredibly powerful Enso with this brush.

I've thought about dipping branches, flowers, leaves into paint whilst still alive, think it might be kinder, gentler, more the plant's painting, it's own marks. Like grasses draw in the sand. Like branches draw in the dust on the windows...

Blue :) I will need that reminder.

I may consider using what I find to paint an Enso. Your thoughts shed new light on using or borrowing nature to create.

Enso will be my own, at least for now, private exploration.

every Enso you make will be your own Bonnie, no need to ever share, although if you ever want to send me a sneak preview...

I read yesterday about a Zen calligraphy master who would paint with anything that came to hand...picked up a rolled up newspaper one time, painted beautiful calligraphy...but apparently not recommended for beginners...of course, I won't let that stop me from trying, and hope you'll keep exploring too...

...I wonder if there's a way to paint Enso with the camera? a challenge?

off to paint my own Enso now...

An Enso with a camera..... I wonder. Perhaps that's something to explore. And Blue, perhaps I will share my Enso... perhaps. You are a wonderful teacher for me. :)

I think I'll leave the newspaper tecnique for later... but Blue, I look forward to seeing your exploration. :)

you'd get better brush strokes with this than the fungii.

nice shot Bonnie

Thanks Michael.

I believe you might be correct. The mushroom would crumble rather quickly but I'm sure it's mark would be unique.
