Lasting

Lasting. Chinese Calligraphy with a major learning curve. It's been awhile since I practiced the writing and thinking now is a good time, with the frigid temps making photography outdoors difficult.

**Also the symbol for Eternity.

Happiness

Happiness. People everywhere are the same regardless of race, religion or location. We all want the same thing from life. Happiness. The pursuit of happiness is one of our unalienable Rights under the Declaration of Independence. We all want happiness. Some of us think lots of money will make us happy. Some, the accumulation of stuff but it all comes down to Happiness. Far less wars would be fought if people would recognize that we are all the same with the same wants, needs and desires. More forgiveness would take place in our own lives if we recognize that we're all the same, just doing the best we know. If we would open our hearts and lead with love. Easier said then done, I know. But remember this, each day is a new day and when we stumble, just begin again. When we find ourselves in the midst of suffering, find that happy ground, that silver lining, and when the time comes.... breathe in, breathe out and move on.

The above calligraphy is my work in progress as I practice. Angela is working on a 365 Fearless Project and well, sharing my feeble attempts at calligraphy is a fear I am overcoming. Along with sharing more of my thoughts along with photos. Normally, I am one to let the photo speak for itself.

Practicing Life

Practicing life. Life, we only get one chance at it and unlike with calligraphy, you don't get a practice run. Live each day and find peace and happiness in the ordinary. It's day after day of the ordinary that makes for a lifetime.




Find the pattern here. As with all my calligraphy, it's not perfect but I am trying.
