Apple Crisp

I've had a headache all day and decided to fill the house with the smell of baking apples. I chose this recipe from King Arthur Flour. The only thing I changed was to use a cast iron skillet. I have a few other apple crisp recipes I want to try before I decide which is the best. This one is okay but with my sinuses and headache, my sense of taste has been off. When the Mister arrives home, he'll be the final taste check.

Oh my! I need to come to YOUR house! I looked over at the apples at the grocery store this afternoon, but I never got any. Bought my first butternut squash and plan to bake it with a drizzle of olive oil and maple syrup with some dried cranberries thrown in at the end. Don doesn't eat squash, so it's mine...all mine. I just hope I like butternut squash! But with a name like that BUTTER-NUT...it has to be good! :)

This is my all time favorite fall food. I love it and your photo looks like it should be in a magazine. I bet your house smelled so wonderful, the way all houses should smell in the fall!
Enjoy the rest of your week.

I've made butternut squash risotto before and Mike liked it. I bet your baked one will be yummy, Shirley.

Cheryl, if I could, I would gladly share some with you. With only 2 of us, we'll never finish it.

Thank you, Morgan. Still struggling with the sinus thing but it happens every year at this time.

Today, it tastes great and the Mister really liked it too.
