I spent a few days visiting with my parents. This year my uncle spent a night on his way to NY. It's the first time in years that I've not been to a fireworks display. No photos of those bright bursts of color and light. In fact, I never made it to the lake. Still, a nice visit.
I did try my hand at lightning photos last night and failed miserably. See....
This could/should be much more vivid. I must find a book or on-line article on photographing lightning. This was about the best it was ever going to be in my area. Someday, I want to be in Tucson during the monsoon season.
Summer feels like it's moving at hyper speed around here and the buying stuff for dorm living is starting to add up. At this rate, I will never have the money for that new flash. I might just have to buy it anyway. ;)

I like the photo, a lot. It captures something special. I think you should get that flash, no matter what. It will bring you so much happiness, and you earned that right.
