Virginia

A rather quick trip to Roanoke, Virginia for a wedding leaving no time for sightseeing. On our return trip, tires screeched as I quickly made a u-turn to follow signs marked Historic Bridge. The turns lead us to this beautiful covered bridge with cows living behind it. Not at all what I expected.

The wedding was my niece's. She was four years old on my wedding day and my flower girl. I took my parents along for the ride.

Weddings can bring about much reflection on not just the young couple, starting a new life but our own life histories and what makes us who we are. A marriage, does it define who we are? What if that marriage fails? Does that, then define us? I would hope that each is just a small part of who we are, shaping us but not defining the person we become.

Back to Mt. Laundry.

I love both shots...the colors of the bridge shot and the romantic feel of the bridal shot. Did you do their wedding pictures?

Thanks shirley.

Nope, not their photography, just took a few photos while he was setting up. Did my best to stay out of his way and he was always in the way!! Missed the entire cake/feeding each other part.
