Espresso

Random thoughts.

While waiting for my coffee this morning, I heard whale talk. Yes, whale talk. That's what my coffeemaker sounded like. Moaning, groaning. Not the normal groans but this whaling sound. This machine is about a year old so I hope it just wanted to talk whale talk to me.

Ever wonder what happened to Life Savers? I was standing in line at a check out and looking at the crop of candies and mints, searching frantically for Butter Rum Life Savers. Nary (is that a word) a Life Saver to be found. I was drowning in a sea of mint green in search of a buttery life saver.

Have a beautiful weekend.

omg. lifesavers. every Christmas my Mom would buy me the lifesaver "book" with 6 or 8 packs of various flavors. the first i ate were the butter rum!!! i think the last i ate were the wintergreen. i hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but where ARE all the good lifesaver flavors. am i dreaming or did they used to make root beer flavored ones, too? now you've got me off on a lifesaver hunt... ;-)

heh heh! at least you hear whales! Mine sounds like it has terrible indigestion! I suppose i could give it a tums or gas-X. :)

When I lived in NYC, i passed the lifesaver factory on the way to visit my best friend in college (who Melissa is named for). I wish that I had a picture of it because there were huge lifesaver statues. very cool. And, our favorite flavor when we were kids was butter rum. Your words made me smile!

BTW, when I was living in Boston, we passed the Necco factory, and when I was living in Rochester, we passed the Ragu spaghetti sauce factory - you could smell sauce for miles.

oh dear! I've written a blog entry here!

hugs and love!
