Last night was the big conclusion to the Grey's Anatomy 3-part sweeps bonanza and riveting TV it was even if one could see where it was headed pretty early on. Did you notice the lack of previews for the next new episode? I did. Switched the channel over to ER and at the end of that episode, they advertised a new episode somewhere around April 12!! No new episodes until the middle of April!!! The programming of network TV around a couple of months a year is really growing very old with me. Hey TV executives, it's still winter. I am still in that hibernate mode that has me in the house. Am I the only one that doesn't have a life outside of TV during the winter months? Hey TV executives, if the viewers don't come back, the advertisers won't pay up. Come the middle of April, the weather will be nice and maybe my ever so short attention span will have landed up elsewhere.
Who am I kidding, my kid said I'd be back and I'm sure I will, if I remember. The TV programming is just annoying. I do like the way 24 runs and now LOST. I'd rather a season start later and run more episodes straight through.
What does all this have to do with the Moon? Nothing. It's just the image I've chosen to share. An image taken with Lensbaby original. In fact, this entire rant is not very coherent. I need a coffee refill.
Have a beautiful day.... we are under another winter storm watch for the weekend (see it's still winter!!). Here's hoping the freeze line stays up in Wisconsin.

raising my hand in agreement! you know what a TV addict i am (it's my dad's fault - i got it from him). i used to adore HBO. now i'm angry with them. when they take shows like the sopranos and big love - get us hooked and then disappear off the radar does not make for a happy viewer. like you, i almost forget the characters and certainly the story line! it's very annoying. i remember (after i walked ten miles to school barefoot in the snow) back when television didn't show reruns until summer. and by then i didn't care because, like you, i was outside!
yes, "grey's" was predictable, but it still brought a tear... i'm such a sap.
a couple of answers i've found to annoying television programming - our comcast cable company offers "on demand" which contains a long list of pay per view movies, free movies, and reruns of favorite shows (like curb your enthusiasm). i turn to that when nothing suits me elsewhere. i'm also a big fan of boxed DVD sets of favorite shows (like Gilmore Girls) - especially if its a show i didn't watch while it was aired originally.
o, and i really am trying to rededicate myself to reading every day. again.
Ah, I've resisted the urge to upgrade to digital cable and needing that dang box! Plus, there were so many problems around here that I just put it on the backburner and that's where it's stayed.
Gilmore Girls has not been the same this year. I still enjoy the show but do think it'll come to an end this season, when Rory graduates.
ahhh, sorry to hear gilmore isn't the same. i did hear that the original writers left last season, so this season might look quite different. and perhaps it has had its run... i don't watch it live, just on dvd.
Meg and I have been watching Gilmore Girls from the first episode. Yep, writing change and it's noticeable. We have a season on DVD but might have to pick up more. Plus, it runs over and over again on ABC Family.
