I have many thoughts on art, photography and even poetry. There is a movement afoot to have a no-photo day. The thinking being that photographers cannot fully be present if they are snapping away behind the camera. But, I find myself more present, sometimes, when behind the camera. I see more of the world around me. Does this mean that I'm not experiencing the big picture?
I can appreciate this person's viewpoint. There are occasions when a camera cannot capture the moment and it is best to just breathe it in and experience it. Not every moment of the day can be caught and held onto with a camera. Sometimes, the mind serves as my camera. So, I guess whether it's a camera or my mind, I'm taking that photo.
Needless to say, if a photo opportunity presents itself on that day, I will take advantage of it.

Shirley, I mostly feel the same. On occasion, I do have to stop and not "hide" behind my camera. Other times, the scenery is just so beautiful that it stops me in my tracks. Guess I'll just continue snapping away.
Do we need to have a 'day' for every, last little thing? ;)
Keep on snapping, Bonnie (and Shirley)! Sounds like that person has some issues. ;)
Have a great weekend, Sweet Friend!
hugs!
